Open shelves are convenient but can quickly look messy if every item is visible—chargers, medicines, stationery, toiletries, remote controls, small gadgets. Even if things are technically “in order,” the overall effect can feel cluttered.
Baskets or boxes act like visual filters. You group related items—bills, tech stuff, first-aid, hair products—into labelled containers. The shelf then shows a few neat shapes instead of fifty little objects. When you need something, you pull out the whole basket and search inside.
It feels more like styled storage and less like a shop rack where everything is out on display.
